The Stella Alpina liqueur, produced by the Alpe distillery is a liqueur obtained from the infusion of edelweiss and other aromatic herbs. The edelweiss is a small white flower located in the Alps at high altitudes.
It has an original flavor and is moderately alcohol. It is great smooth drunk or on the rocks.

The Alpine star called "Regina of mountain flowers" is a very special white flower that grows spontaneously in the mountains at high altitude. It is present in the mountains of the Himalayas, the Pyrenees, the Ligurian Apennines and the Alps.
The Alpine star is a species at risk of extinction and a protected plant has been declared: in fact the collection is prohibited.

The German name Edelweiss means "noble candor", which highlights the beauty of this beautiful white flower.

Recently important properties of the Alpine star were discovered, but anciently the Alpine star was used as an antireumatic and as a help in case of cough, the decoction of an alpine star needed to mitigate the belly and respiratory tract disorders.
